The Trust Ulster Wins an Award!!

On Thursday 11 July 2013 the Trust's Ulster won "The car everyone would most like to take home" award at the annual Area 10 'Tom and Hazel May Pub night'.  The award will be displayed at the Barn along with the Ulster.

Special thanks to Area 10 for hosting and to Marc Aylott for agreeing to take the Ulster.  It's a hardship that many would love to share!

A3 Returns!

A3 is back home after her two month "Grand European Tour" visiting 20 different locations.

Bikers and Biscuits

Yesterday (12 June 2013) we were visited by the Vintage Motor Cycle Club.  7 bikes in total, including 5 early Triumphs.  Andy Bell, AMHT Trustee, gave a lecture and everyone enjoyed coffee, tea and biscuits!

Buzzbox Reunited

Today we had the privilege to reunite a former owner with her first car!  Mrs Parker, on the right, first owned 'Buzzbox' when she was in her early twenties.  Then, it was red and known as 'Anna'.  She bought the car for £25.00 and then sold it for £75.00 when she moved to Australia.  Now, after more than 40 years of searching, she has finally been reunited with 'Anna'.  Despite the colour change, she recognised it immediately and we all became rather emotional.

I love days like this.

A3 takes a European Tour

Frankfurt am Main, 19 April 2013. Aston Martin takes its centenary celebrations on tour at selected dealer locations throughout Europe.

Leading the spectacular lineup is the new Aston Martin Vanquish, the ultimate GT and 2013 flagship model of the British luxury brand. Presented alongside the Vanquish is the oldest Aston Martin in existence, the A3 from 1921 which represents the founding legacy of Aston Martin. Both will be accompanied by the iconic DB5 which was first built in 1963.

The three special Aston Martins will tour Europe calling in at 19 Aston Martin dealerships in eight countries and will be exhibited in showrooms and taking part in exclusive customer events.

“This presentation of Aston Martin as a moving history is inspiring because for many this will be their first opportunity to see one of the earliest Aston Martins alongside our new flagship model, the Aston Martin Vanquish. This highlights in a very special way how far Aston Martin has advanced as a strong and independent company one hundred years young into the 21stcentury.” said Jeffrey L. Scott, Managing Director of Aston Martin Lagonda of Europe.

“This tour promises to be a true historical highlight for Aston Martin enthusiasts across Europe.”

The Alvis Car Club visits the Barn

We were very pleased to welcome our first coach tour to the Barn today.  Many of the visitors belonged to the Alvis Car Club and were very interested in the beautiful displays of Aston Martins.  Trustee, Richard Loveys gave an informative presentation on the history of Aston Martin, the Aston Martin Owners Club and of course, the Trust.
