A3, the oldest Aston Martin in existence, participates in Aston Martin’s 110th-anniversary parade at the British Grand Prix.

On Friday 7th July, 110 Aston Martin cars celebrating the past, present, and future of the iconic British brand took to Silverstone Circuit for a thrilling celebratory lap marking the company’s 110th anniversary.

Ahead of Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team’s home race in the F1 World Championship®, the incredible line-up of 110 cars set a new record for the most Aston Martins on track simultaneously.

Aston Martin Heritage Trust proudly supported the parade with the trust’s very own A3 completing two laps. The car was prepared by pre-war Aston Martin restoration specialist,  Ecurie Bertelli. Richard Wray (engineer and mechanic at Ecurie Bertelli) gave Garry Taylor (AMHT’s Operations Trustee) driving tips ahead of the big day.

Garry drove A3 with Dom Walker (AMHT Museum Host) in the passenger seat.

Garry commented, “The team at AM F1 HQ warmly welcomed us. There was a great atmosphere throughout the day, especially in the holding area whilst waiting to go on the track. A3 performed well and completed two laps of the track. The whole day was unforgettable, and A3’s history file just got even bigger.”

The AMHT continues to mark its 25th birthday and Aston Martin’s 110th anniversary. The highlight is the Aston Martin Heritage Festival on Saturday 12th August, at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon. You can book tickets here.
