Heritage Open Days

We were delighted to join the Heritage Open Days festival for the first time this year. Heritage Opens days or HOD’s for short is England’s largest festival of history and culture and so we thought there’s no better way to share the work of the Trust and let people know about our “hidden gem” of a museum than through this festival. We opened our doors on Saturday 7th September and were thrilled to welcome over 170 people through the doors. Visitors were free to wander around the exhibits and chat to staff with many saying they would return for the actual tour, which we usually run every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 10.00,11.30 and 14.00. We are also usually open on the first and third Saturday each month at the same tour times. Check our booking page for avlaibility. Plan a trip to Wallingford’s AMHT Museum.

Our lovely Volunteer Claire even made cupcakes to help celebrate the day. Thanks Claire.
