International Women’s Day 2026

8th March 2026

Happy International Women’s Day!

Today, we celebrate the remarkable women who have shaped history, broken boundaries, and inspired generations. At Aston Martin, many incredible women have played a meaningful role throughout our journey, among them, the pioneering Kitty Brunell.

Here we have a wonderful photograph of Kitty Brunell (wearing the black hat), the only woman ever to win Britain’s RAC Rally, achieving this historic victory in 1933. In the image, we can see Kitty standing proudly with an unknown friend beside her Aston Martin after her first major triumph. Her passion and determination didn’t stop there, she went on to compete in the RAC Scottish event later that same year, once again behind the wheel of her Aston Martin.

Kitty’s legacy continues to remind us of the power, talent, and resilience of women who push boundaries and drive change. Today, we honour her and all the women who have contributed to Aston Martin’s story, past, present, and future.
