Alan is a Chartered Accountant, holds an MSc from the London Business School and is a member of the UK Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Most of his career has been spent in the investment management sector with large and small businesses in Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer roles, starting in London and New York with a final full-time role as COO of a global institutional capital placement business.  In 2016, he founded Global Investment Management Services to recycle his extensive experience by offering consultancy services to small and medium-sized financial services businesses.

Alan purchased his first Aston at about age 8 (a toy DB2) while on holiday in the Isle of Wight.  It took a while before he could buy his first full-sized car: a DB6 in 1985, subsequently sold in the ‘90s.  Currently the owner of a DB9.  Member of the AMOC since 1981.  Treasurer of the AMOC since 2022.

Spare time is spent enjoying motorsport, 20th-century history and family, including 2 dogs.
