A Trustee of the AMHT since February 2013, and appointed Vice Chair in November 2022. August has considerable experience in industry, corporate finance and private equity.
For many years, he was a Partner at Odewald & Cie., Berlin, one of the leading German private equity firms. Prior to that, he was Managing Director at Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance & Recovery in Berlin and London. His earlier career included BMW, Coutinho, Caro & Co., Michael Thomas + Partner, including six years in Korea, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia.
August is Chairman of the advisory boards of Join Capital VC Fund, Berlin and Einstein – Industries Ventures VC Fund, Berlin, focusing on the European Industry 4.0, IoT and New Space sectors.
He also pursues numerous honorary activities and holds a number of non-executive posts. Aston Martin always had great fascination for him, having owned several over the years. With his DB MkIII, he participates in rallies, regularities and more.
August lives in Berlin and represents the AMHT on the European continent.
