It was a pleasure to welcome Adrian Hallmark, CEO of Aston Martin, as our guest speaker for the Walter Hayes Memorial Lecture 2026.
Adrian Hallmark, interviewed by David Green of The Times Luxx, offered an engaging insight into his year at the helm. His talk provided a relaxed reflection on the past twelve months the successes, the struggles, and the challenges. The informal setting encouraged guests to ask questions and take part in an open conversation. The evening concluded with a silent auction, which raised important funds for the AMHT charity.
A stunning Vantage S was displayed in the Rotunda and was much admired, kindly provided by Aston Martin.
With thanks to Adrian Hallmark, David Green, Aston Martin, the RAC, the AMHT team and all our guests for making the evening a truly memorable one.
The Walter Hayes Memorial Lecture is an annual event organised by the Aston Martin Heritage Trust (AMHT) to honour the life and contributions of Walter Hayes, former Chairman of AMHT, Chairman of Aston Martin Lagonda, and President of Ford Europe. Held each year at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall, London, the lecture brings together supporters, industry figures, and automotive enthusiasts for an evening that includes a dinner and a guest lecture reflecting on automotive history, design, leadership, and Aston Martin’s heritage. Since its inception in 2003, it has become a highlight of the AMHT calendar, featuring high‑profile guest speakers from the world of automotive design, engineering, and leadership.
