Aston Martin V12 Vantage (VH2) Powertrain

A powertrain is a system of components inside a vehicle that propel it forward, by transferring the energy from the engine to the wheels. This includes the engine, transmission (gear box), drive shaft, differential and axles.

Powertrains and cutaway models are often built by AML as a training aid for apprentices and engineers. They give a view of an Aston Martin not normally seen.

Fitted with the 510 bhp version of the V12 engine, the Vantage was claimed able to reach 190 mph and 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds. The larger V12 engine was 100 kg heavier than the V8 engine.

The production V12 Vantage car was unveiled in 2009 and produced up until 2013.
