This pre-production cutaway was built for show use in 2012. It is based on Aston Martin’s VH platform design structure (VH3), using an all-bonded aluminium tub, and has an especially lightened front end and the engine is mounted lower than the previous DBS.
The unpainted bodywork showcases that this was the first production Aston Martin to have a fully carbon fibre exterior body. Customers were given the option of leaving the carbon fibre finish on show in areas such as the roof panel, mirrors and front splitter.
The production Vanquish (VH3) was available from 2013 until 2018, ending with the higher performance ‘S’ version.
