We are thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted as one of the final three contenders in the Museum of the Year category at the Royal Automobile Club Historic Awards 2026. The awards celebrate excellence across Britain's historic motoring and heritage sectors, recognising organisations that are preserving, interpreting and sharing automotive history in outstanding ways.
To be selected as a finalist is a tremendous honour and a testament to the passion, dedication and hard work of our entire team, volunteers, supporters and visitors. It reflects our ongoing commitment to caring for our collections, delivering engaging experiences and ensuring that motoring heritage remains accessible and relevant for current and future generations.
The Museum of the Year category recognises institutions that demonstrate excellence in curation, interpretation, visitor engagement and collections care. Being named among the final three museums in the country is a significant achievement and places us alongside some of the most respected organisations in the sector.
Over the past year, we have continued to invest in new displays, learning opportunities and visitor experiences, while sharing the stories behind our collections with audiences from across the UK and beyond. This recognition is a wonderful endorsement of that work.
