Research Assistant & Operations Coordinator
Full-time | Oxfordshire | Starting January 2027 | Salary £26,000 per annum
The Aston Martin Heritage Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual to join its team at the Aston Martin Heritage Trust Museum in Oxfordshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in preserving and sharing the history of one of the world's most iconic automotive brands while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Trust and museum.
The successful candidate will divide their time between heritage research and operational support, undertaking research to produce official vehicle history reports and heritage certificates, while also assisting with museum administration, visitor services, membership activities, online sales, and customer enquiries.
Working as part of a small and dedicated team, the role offers a varied and rewarding combination of research, customer engagement, administration, and museum operations. The position would particularly suit a recent graduate, museum or heritage professional, automotive enthusiast, or someone with strong administration and customer service experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Researching original Aston Martin vehicle records and archive materials.
- Producing heritage certificates and vehicle history reports.
- Responding to research and archive enquiries from Aston Martin owners and enthusiasts worldwide.
- Supporting museum operations, visitor bookings and events.
- Assisting with the Trust's supporter programme and online shop.
- Managing general enquiries and administrative tasks.
- Helping oversee museum operations on Saturdays, including hosting tours when required.
The role is based predominantly on-site at the Aston Martin Heritage Trust Museum near Drayton St Leonard, Oxfordshire. Due to the museum's rural location, applicants will need a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
In return, the Trust offers the opportunity to work with one of the world's most significant automotive heritage collections, alongside a competitive benefits package including pension contributions, generous holiday entitlement, employee assistance support, staff discounts, and opportunities for professional development.
Applications close at 5.00pm on Friday 30 October.
