Marek Reichman, AML Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, returns to podcast for the second part of our conversations exploring his experiences of shaping Aston Martin design.
Following episode 50, which covered the Dr Ulrich Bez years, Garry Taylor and Marek turn to the Andy Palmer era, from 2014 to 2020—a period of bold ideas, ambitious plans and new directions.
At its heart was the Second Century Plan: seven cars in seven years, renewing the sports car range while broadening Aston Martin’s appeal. The DB11and Vantage formed part of that transformation, alongside projects such as the Vulcan and Valkyrie, an electric vision for Lagonda, and the company’s first SUV, the DBX.
Garry and Marek explore the thinking behind the designs, the challenge of entering new territory while preserving Aston Martin’s distinctive character, and the experience of working with the Second Century Plan during this chapter in the marque’s history.
If you missed our first conversation with Marek, head back to episode 50 to hear about the Ulrich Bez era.
