The Aston Martin DB7 30 years will be celebrated at the Aston Martin Heritage Festival this year on the 31 August at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, so this will be the first of a series of DB7 themed podcasts leading up to that date.
Joining Garry Taylor on the microphone is Steve Waddingham, the AML historian and John Muirhead the AML Marketing Manager throughout the life of the DB7. Also around the table was Andrew Burford being the owner of an early press car.
With John’s background, we discuss the DB7 colours and how they were named to appeal to a new audience (but not always appealing to a certain dealer…) Plus, how the motor show stands were managed and designed. And the background to the infamous Colour and Trim case.
John and Steve recollect working the motor show stands and the factory tours at Bloxham in the DB7 era. Andrew recalls the media history of his press car and how no one should be shy of buying a press vehicle.
