On this podcast, Garry Taylor and Steve Waddingham chat with Chris Woodgate, the son of Rex Woodgate, who was affectionally known as ‘Mr Aston Martin’ to many Americans from the 1960’s & 1970’s

Chris shares his knowledge of the man and his legacy in Aston Martin history. From Rex’s early days working in a Welsh coal mine, to becoming a mechanic, having Stirling Moss on his CV, involved in the DB3S build, moving to America and then setting up an official AML importer for the USA. Plus taking a DB5 Goldfinger car to a school day!

Today at Rex J. Woodgate Automotive Consultants based at Silverstone, Chris continues the work of Rex when they all returned to the UK. Hear of Chris’s racing exploits and why he favours working on Aston Martin Feltham cars and the racing cars, where he believes approximately 50% of all DB3S’s have gone through his workshops. Plus, why you should go to the gym rather than have power steering installed!
