Founded in 1968 by Richard Stewart Williams, RS Williams has become one of the world’s leading Aston Martin specialists with vast experience in servicing, fabrications, engineering and race preparation. All built on a staggering attention to detail and very high quality of work and expertise as Heritage Aston Martin Specialists.
The AMHT visited the workshops and showroom in Cobham, Surrey, to find out what drives them in their pursuit of excellence, their history, what they are doing today, and, of course, the story of the man himself – Richard Williams who died in 2021.
With insight from Neil Thompson, Managing Director, and Jacqueline Menzies, director and daughter of Richard, we discuss the early years working on Peter Sellers cars, starting at the railway arches in Brixton, through to the racing Nimrod and Lord Downe, building the DB4 Zagato Sanction II cars, with much more up to the present day.
The next podcast episode includes Garry Taylor and Steve Waddingham exploring the showroom and workshops – being in conversation with Graham Ching, Workshop Director, Adam Johnson the Operations Manager and other Team Members
