The AMHT archive is the largest collection of Aston Martin records in the world. It includes factory records, publications, workshop manuals and thousands of photographs. Certificate and Research (CAR) services are one of the distinctive ways in which we share this history and the story of one of the most famous British marques.
If you are a car owner, or undertaking research, the wealth of material within our collection means we are in a unique position to provide information.
As an educational charity and a small team, we must charge for these services. The income contributes to the costs of maintaining and caring for the collection. As such, we charge for our time even if the collection doesn’t uncover answers.
Your enquiry is important to us and we aim to reply within 5 working days. Thank you for understanding we’re a small, busy team.
Please note that all prices quoted exclude VAT unless otherwise stated.
For services in the UK VAT will be added at the current rate of 20%
Current AMHT and AMOC members will receive a discount for all Certificate and Research Services (details below).

Build Sheets/Factory Vehicle Details
These internal documents used by the factory give specific details of how a car left the factory. Designs and formats will vary by model, as does the amount of information contained. Basic information such as chassis number and engine number are rarely missing. Some include information such as carburettor type, gearbox number, exterior and interior colours and optional extras.
Copies of the original build sheets from the Bertelli era models through to the DB7 and V12 Vanquish are usually available. Vehicle details for later models are stored as electronic records. Copies of all build sheets are sent to you as a PDF file. If we do not hold the build sheet on site, please be aware the waiting time is approximately 1 week to source the information.
‘One of X’ Report
Collections Research Reports
Please note, we do not hold material related to every car and we are not able to offer a full report into a car’s history. We can only provide and include what we have access to within the AMHT collection.
The Collections Research Report is sent to you as a PDF file. Please be aware the current waiting time is approximately 12 weeks due to the time-intensive nature.
