In co-operation with HWM Aston Martin, Walton on Thames, Les Goble the former Head of Performance Driving at Aston Martin Lagonda, revisits and drives the Newport Pagnell Aston Martin Vanquish V12.

In this video we dispel some of the myths that surround the Vanquish gearbox and also the later Sports Shift boxes.  Les take us on a drive explaining  how to get the best from the car whether on hill starts, driving in heavy traffic, very subtle changes to your driving technique to eliminate jerkiness and much more.

This video is also supported by an AMHT Podcast where Garry Taylor chats with Les about the perceived Vanquish gearbox issues and how to get the best driving experience from the Vanquish. Listen in on Episode 15 from the AMHT website at www.amht.org.uk/podcast or via Apple Podcast and Spotify.

March 6, 2024

We were delighted to host our annual Walter Hayes Memorial Lecture at The Royal Automobile Club again this year. It was a tremendous evening with Marek Reichman as the guest speaker and the spectacular Valkyrie on display in the Rotunda. For the first time we have recorded the event so that we can share the evening with our supporters worldwide. Here’s a sneak preview with the main recording to follow soon. Enjoy!
